Enterprise Resource Planning, usually the acronym ERP is used. It is basically the evolution of planning MRP II.
It is way of management and planning, involving all resources associated with the organization (enterprise).Therefore it is related to the organizational management as a whole. The term ERP is most often associated with the categories of corporate information systems that include complex resource management of the organization.
ERP as a management field including all resources of the organization is closely linked to ICT, because many advanced analytical functions and other needs cannot do without the support of sophisticated systems and applications. Usually it is a package of applications that connects the resource management, including:
ERP in terms of ICT is the core of enterprise information system and has a strong link to the areas of CRM, SCM, HRM, FRM and others. The choice of system, however, depends on the size, complexity and the specific needs of the organization.
